SIP has been enhancing efforts to attract investment to build a modern, innovative industrial system for continuous high-level development.
Despite of the global COVID-19 outbreak this year and the worldwide economic slowdown thereof, SIP saw 157 new foreign-invested projects and 108 capital increase projects from January to August, with a registered foreign capital of US$ 2.74 billion, up 140% year-on-year.
The achievements stem from continuous efforts to improve local investment environment, including offering excellent facilities, preferential policies and considerate services for investors, and diversified innovative investment promotion activities, such as online publicity and services and various offline partnering and networking events.
This year, SIP has focused on attracting foreign-invested projects in such fields as biomedicine, new-generation information technology, headquarters economy and modern services, and made remarkable achievements so far, especially in the sectors of biomedicine and medical devices.
Meanwhile, SIP is going all out to help local enterprises go global and improve the local ecosystem for cross-border investment which, in return, is helping enhance overseas investors’ knowledge of SIP and increase their interests in making investment in the area.
